The value of education and understanding your policy with Katy Lindberg
One of the things that makes our agency different is that we really value education as part of our policy process. Unfortunately when I was a new agent someone would come in and just wanted apples to apples and that's what I did. Unfortunately, I had a customer come in and he just had fifty thousand of liability coverage on his auto insurance and he was hit and killed by an uninsured driver. If I had educated him about how the premiums work, for eight dollars more a month instead of giving his family fifty thousand I could have given them two hundred fifty thousand. I really want people to understand what the insurance does for them, and how important those limits are in making it easy for them to do that by speaking in a normal language instead of fancy insurance jargon.
