[Downtown Hastings, MN] On November 25th, Hastings will come alive with the spirit of the season during the 2023 Holiday Hoopla. This vibrant, all-day event coincides with Small Business Saturday, reinforcing our community's commitment to local enterprises.

As dawn breaks, the festivities kick off with a heartwarming Breakfast with Santa at the Lock and Dam Eatery. With two seating times, families can start their day in the magical company of Santa, fueling up for the excitement ahead.

The day brims with activities, starting at 9 AM with Santa & Mrs. Claus posing for memorable photos at The Studio Downtown. Rachel Marthaler Photography captures these festive moments, with sign-ups required in advance.

For our younger attendees, free stockings stuffed with goodies await at Impressive Windows & Interiors, bringing joy to kids 12 and under. At Spiral Brewery, a coloring contest promises creative fun, while Squeaky Wheel Pottery offers a chance to paint and glaze ceramic ornaments.

2nd Street transforms into a hub of holiday cheer with a DJ setting the mood, and ArtSpace River Lofts hosts vendors showcasing handmade arts, crafts, and ornament decorating. The American Legion contributes with a Craft and Vendor Fair, adding more variety to the local shopping experience.

Throughout the day, various locations like Quaint & Quirky Gifts and 2nd Street Depot offer live music, free chili, and cookie decorating, making every corner of Hastings a hotspot of holiday fun. Oliver's Grove adds a sweet touch with gourmet s'mores for a good cause.

One of the highlights is the story time with Mayor Mary, bringing tales of joy and wonder to The Studio Downtown. And for those seeking a bit of mischief, The Grinch awaits at Hastings Tavern for unique photo ops, captured by Ashley Jean Photography.

The celebration reaches its crescendo with performances by local elementary schools and Spiral Singers at the Pavilion, followed by the much-anticipated 2nd Street and City Hall tree lightings, symbolizing the warmth and unity of our community.

This year's Holiday Hoopla is not just a day of festivities; it's a reflection of Hastings' spirit of togetherness, support for local businesses, and the joy of the holiday season. Join us in making this day a memorable one for our community and local businesses. 🎄✨
