“Anna has had a piece of my heart her whole life. When young Anna loved to mix things. She was always making a mixture of different ingredients. One time, while babysitting my dog Cabi, I believe, she was mixing & dropped some on the floor of my bathroom-'carpet' (ugh) & it stained. Thank goodness I remodeled my bathroom! I love Anna. True blue good peep from her head to her soul. Grateful for her on this earth & now in spirit.”

“I remember when I first moved to Hastings from Brainerd. I was working at McDonalds and that’s when I met you and Andy. You guys would make my night coming thru the drive thru. It was the best part to working overnights there. Us 3 soon became inseparable. We did almost everything together it seemed. We were always doing something together it seemed like. It was about a year into knowing the both of you that we figured out the 3 of us were related somehow. We didn’t really know how and to this day we still don’t 😂 as time went on, we grew apart and didn’t really talk all that much but I never once doubted how amazing you were. I may not have the fun, crazy stories that some do, but I can sure tell you that I broke inside hearing the news. I couldn’t focus on work, I was telling my fiancé the wrong things (in the middle of closing on a house 😳) and was just a jumbled mess as I’m sure so many others are too. This really put things into perspective for me and my family. You have always been a leader and I know somehow you’ll be leading Afton in a direction where he knows just how much he was loved by you.”

“I’ve known Anna all my life we became close friends in higher school where she always had my back she stood up for me when kids were mean to me and she never made me feel alone ever. When I was struggling in school she always helped me she was there to listen to me and make me laugh but help me learn stuff I never understood. She was someone I always looked up to. She was strong beautiful and had the confidence I wanted in a person. I will miss this beautiful girl so much she always made me feel like I was a somebody and I’ll never forget that. Love you beautiful angel and I will miss you so much ♥️”

“Hi, I was Anna's weight loss coach a few years ago, and became a friend.

Afton, you and your Mom used to come to our house. Your Mom would get weighed and measured. and raid our garden. :) Every time you came, you would crawl into Roger's lap (my husband) and snuggle with him.If he was eating anything, like popcorn, you would sit with him and eat away. Then you two would come outside and you would play with our little dogs and run around the back yard. One of your Mom's favorite things to get from the garden was kale, she loved it. She got a few other things too, but was always worried she would short us on garden stuff.

Your precious Mom was a goal setter and she worked until she met her goal, she was not a quitter.

One of my favorite messages from her on FaceBook, was I have to come over, I miss you.

It's been about 4 or 5 years since I have seen your Mom, however kept up with her through FB, and we moved away from Hastings.

She loved you so much. I'm sure you have heard that from others, but right now, at this time. you know how much your Mom loved you.”

“I met Anna when she started housekeeping at the health center. She would constantly be helping us ( even tho technically she wasn't supposed to 😆) by helping pass out meals, and just generally being a bright light in their lives. Shortly after she got her cna and we worked side by side on the brain injury unit together, where everyone loved her as well!! I'll never forget one time her van got plowed in and we had to undig her and then attempt to get back inside to work, slipping and falling the whole time, so she just dropped to her knees and crawled across the road. I was crying I was laughing so hard. She would come in on her days off with afton to bring us home made treats/coffees and just visit during down time, which the residents really loved and appreciated. She was the bee to my bop ❤ Any time I cook with garlic, I think of Anna and add more. I'll miss her cheesy pick up lines she'd send me 😆 and most of all I'll miss her beautiful soul. Love you Anna Anna, fabulous Anna Kristine, you’re so incredible ❤”

“She was an all around amazing person! Every time I saw her or talked to her, there was just a light about her. She and I would laugh and just bond over being a mom. I will never forget her and I will cherish our memories forever!”

“Anna took care of my mom (Lauries) at Oakridge Assisted Living in Hastings and was an Angel there. My mom just adored Anna because she would always come and say hi to her when her shift started and would stop in and visit her several times during her shifts and her and my mom would laugh so hard together. Anna was very caring and understanding towards others! My family got to know her from visiting my mom and she just lit up the room when she entered. When my mom was in her final day before passing- Anna and her son (6 years old then) Afton came and sat with my mom for awhile which meant so much to us that she took time out of her busy day to come and just sit with my mom. Heaven sure gained one beautiful Angel!”

“The day Jeff Wohlforth brought his new girlfriend over (Anna), I could instantly tell there was an immediate connection between them. The way they answered each other’s sentences and the depth of their stares into each other’s eyes, I knew they were so meant for each other. We had the absolute privilege of meeting Afton during some summer BBQ’s at our home in New Richmond, WI. Afton absolutely fell in love with our lab, Yukon. They played for a majority of the day with the hose and some water guns. The joy in Anna’s eyes to see her love (Afton) having a fun and enjoyable experience was priceless. She valued the time with her friends and loved seeing her son happy. Even though we only knew Anna and Afton for a short amount of time, they became family for us. They are both so missed around here! They loved coming this way to explore kayaking and swimming in the St. Croix River on hot summer days.
The memories will never be forgotten! Love to you all! Her family has lost a legend. 💕”

“Your Mom and I looked to each other for strength at times, from singing together, hanging together and to sharing thoughts and feelings. We ate chips and Queso dip, sang songs, cried and laughed together. She entrusted Bagheera and her heart to me and I will forever be grateful and honor her.”

“I used to see Anna everyday when Afton went to daycare at my mother’s Mel’s Munchkins Daycare. My best friend and I also babysat Afton on the weekends once in a while. I also worked with Anna at Oakridge for a few months. Anna was such an outgoing person and never failed to make people smile. Anna will be missed and never forgotten.”
