## 1. Emergency requests
If you believe there is an imminent threat of death, serious bodily harm, child exploitation, or other emergency involving immediate danger, contact emergency services first.
After contacting emergency services, email info@HastingsNow.com with the subject line:
EMERGENCY DISCLOSURE REQUEST
Please include:
- your name, title, agency, and official email address
- a direct callback number
- the emergency nature of the request
- the account, post, or content at issue
- the specific data requested
- the time window involved
- any case number or incident number
We may evaluate emergency requests in good faith and disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm or where otherwise permitted by law.
## 2. Routine legal requests
For subpoenas, warrants, court orders, civil requests, and other non-emergency legal process, email:
Subject line: LEGAL REQUEST
Please include:
- requesting agency or party
- officer/attorney name and title
- official contact information
- jurisdiction
- case number
- copy of the legal process
- the specific account, Soundbite, post, or identifier at issue
- the exact records requested
- the relevant time period
We may reject, narrow, or challenge requests that are incomplete, overbroad, unlawful, or inconsistent with our policies.
## 3. Preservation requests
Upon a verified request, we may place a temporary preservation hold on reasonably identifiable records for up to 90 days, with one possible extension where appropriate.
A preservation request should identify:
- the account or content at issue
- the relevant identifiers
- the time period to preserve
- the legal basis for the request
- a contact person for follow-up
A preservation hold does not mean content will remain public, and it does not guarantee disclosure without valid legal process or applicable emergency grounds.
## 4. What records may exist
Depending on the service used and the circumstances, records may include:
- public posts and Soundbites
- account contact information
- submission metadata
- audio, transcripts, images, or other submitted media
- moderation or review notes
- timestamps and technical logs
- internal handling records related to legal, trust, or safety review
We do not promise that any specific category of record exists in every case.
## 5. User notice
Unless prohibited by law, legally restricted, or inappropriate because of emergency or safety concerns, we may notify the affected user before producing records.
## 6. Copyright requests
Copyright complaints and takedown notices should be sent to the contact listed in our Terms of Service under copyright / DMCA notices. Do not use this page for ordinary copyright complaints unless the issue is part of active legal process.
## 7. Transparency and process
We keep an internal record of legal and safety requests, including timestamps, requester information, actions taken, and status.
We may publish high-level transparency information from time to time, but we do not promise public reporting for every request.
## 8. No legal advice
Nothing on this page is legal advice or a guarantee of response, production, or turnaround.
