1. Hastings city offices closed September 7 for Labor Day
The City of Hastings announces that city offices will be closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day.

2. HFS and Rivertown Treasures share a closure and donation reminder
Hastings Family Service and Rivertown Treasures Thrift Store will be closed Monday, September 7, and reopen Tuesday, September 8, according to Rivertown Treasures’ holiday announcement.
For anyone using the long weekend to sort through donations, there’s an important request: please do not leave items outside while the store is closed. Save your donation trip for when Rivertown Treasures is open to receive it.
3. Afton Apple’s Flower Festival continues through Labor Day
Afton Apple Orchard’s Flower Festival runs September 5–7, giving visitors Sunday and Labor Day to include the festival in their weekend plans.
