Coach Jamie Swanson recognizes the seniors and their teammates
The result was a tough one, but Swanson emphasized the players’ effort on an evening dedicated to the seniors.
“And not only did the seniors play well for themselves, the rest of the boys stepped up again tonight,” Swanson said.
With two matches remaining, Swanson also looked ahead to the finish of the regular season. He said the Raiders were pursuing their 12th conference point, which he believed should put Hastings among the conference’s top four.
He recalled a previous trip to Mahtomedi when Hastings scored five goals and spoke about a second-place conference finish.
For the remaining matches, his message to the community was straightforward:
“We’d appreciate everybody’s support, and we appreciate Hastings community supporting the boys soccer program.”
