City of Hastings - Ice Fishing

Lake Rebecca Park turned into a winter community hangout during City of Hastings Ice Fishing event on Saturday, January 10, 2026. Participants rotated through start times beginning at 9:00 a.m., with gear and guidance provided onsite through noon—no fishing license required under the event’s DNR permit, and all fishing was catch-and-release. Alongside the action on the ice, families warmed up with hot cocoa and enjoyed prize drawings and giveaways made possible by supportive sponsors, including Dirt Bullies Landscaping, VFW Hastings, Striker Hudson, Fleet Farm, Hometown Ace Hardware, and Get the Lead Out—plus a big thank-you to the volunteer anglers who helped make the day feel easy, safe, and fun.
