1. School-board candidate forum set for September 16
The public is invited to a Hastings school-board candidate forum on Wednesday, September 16, at 7 p.m. in Hastings Middle School Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Hastings AAUW is hosting the forum in conjunction with the Dakota County League of Women Voters. It’s an opportunity to hear from the candidates seeking to serve ISD 200.

2. Just For Kix Hastings prepares for the Prescott Daze parade
Just For Kix Hastings says its dancers will perform in the Prescott Daze parade on Sunday, September 13, at 2 p.m. in Prescott, Wisconsin. Spectators can plan a trip across the river to watch.

3. Get ready for Homecoming with family tie-dye on September 19
Hastings Community Education’s Homecoming Tie-Dye event runs Saturday, September 19, from 8:30–9:30 a.m., with outdoor activities at Todd Field. Preregistration is required, and the advertised fee is $10 for immediate family members living in the same household.
